Cabbage microgreens are easy to grow, flavorful, and make a great base for any salad. The mild and tender leafy green vegetable comes from a family of Brassica oleracea that includes many other cultivars.

  • Usage : With its versatile flavor, it adds pizzazz to any savory dish making them perfect for salads, sandwiches, or wraps. You can also add them to soups and smoothies or stir fry for an extra boost of flavor. Use them as a garnish for pizza, omelettes, or frittatas. 
  • Nutrition and Health Benefits : Cabbage microgreens are packed with vitamins A, C, and E, beta-carotenes, potassium and iron. Cabbage has especially high levels of vitamin K which helps to heal wounds (blood clotting), and supports bone health. Cabbage is also rich in vitamin C, which helps to fight against free radicals and cancer. It also contain powerful antioxidants that help reduce chronic inflammation such as arthritis, heart disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. It is found to decrease LDL cholesterol levels which is the “bad” type of cholesterol. Anthocyanin is the natural compound which gives red/purple cabbage its color, has been found to prevent heart disease.

Growing Instructions 

  • Soak the Seeds Depending upon Size , Large Seeds are Required to be soaked for 6-8 Hours before Sowing , for Smaller Seeds needs to be washed in water before sowing
  •  Fill your container with good growing medium, such as potting soil or homemade compost, making sure you don’t over-compress it, and water lightly. Alternatively, you can use a single-use growing mat soaked with water specifically designed for growing micro greens. Sprinkle the seed of your choice on top of the soil as evenly as possible.
  • Lightly mist your seeds with water and cover your container with a plastic lid.
  • Check on your tray daily and mist water as needed to keep the seeds moist
  • A couple of days after the seeds have germinated; you may remove the plastic lid to expose them to light.
  •  Water once a day while your micro greens grow and gain color.
  • After 15-21 days, your micro greens should be ready to harvest.
